Artist Statement

Wen Tong creates through embodying a being, simply referred to as “The Artist”.  The Artist is an ancient soul, nameless, almost egoless, human and a little bit more. And this is their last reincarnation. Through their many lifetimes, they have amassed enough spiritual energy and raised their consciousness to a level so high, that at some point in this lifetime, they will become enlightened and then never again be reborn, to rejoin with God after death. They create art based on their experiences; the joys and tribulations.

The Artist would like to leave one last gift to humanity, this is their final Karma.  They have decided to leave some of their spiritual powers on Earth in the form of art; sacred relics. Through art and beauty, The Artist hopes to counterbalance suffering. Through the engagement of the senses and personal reflection of the meanings, The Artist hopes the viewer may have a transcendent experience. The Artist tells the many stories of their past lives, amusing ones and ones that teach a lesson.
